We are offering a range of catering and entertainment options in conjunction with Springfield Farm Camping around Stage 2 of the 2014 Tour De France which is passing close by to Birdsedge on its picturesque route through Yorkshire.  Stage 2 includes the testing climb at nearby Holme Moss and through the Woodhead Road and past the Flouch (5 miles away).

The Village Hall will be open on Friday 4th July for evening meals & bar (5.30pm-9pm).

Saturday 5th July- Open for Breakfast from 7.30am-10am, Lunch from 11.30am to 2pm and evening meal & BBQ from 5.30pm-9pm –  bar and live entertainment available from 8pm (FREE ENTRY).

Sunday 6th July - Open for Breakfast from 7.30am-10am, Lunch from 11.30am to 2pm and evening meal from 5.30pm-9pm – bar and live entertainment available from 8pm (FREE ENTRY).

In addition the Village Hall will be offering secure baggage storage and packed lunches.

Tour De France CAMPING

Springfield Farm Camping  are offering an idyllic campsite for stage 2 of the Tour De France.  Our small village is surrounded by beautiful countryside. An ideal place to set up camp and enjoy the electric atmosphere of the race and surrounding amenities which include: Entertainment, Licensed bar and all the fun that comes with a great weekend away!

Springfield Farm is located on the A629, offering great transport links making it the perfect central base for viewing the second stage of the race. Surrounding areas that are within 10 miles include; Holmfirth, Holme Moss, Holmebridge, Honley, Brockholes, Lockwood, Langsett and High Bradfield, all of which are just some of the confirmed villages the race route will pass through. A short commute either by car or on bike.

Huddersfield, Manchester, Wakefield and Sheffield all offer mainline railway stations with our nearest stations being: Shepley, Denby Dale. Honley, Brockholes and Penistone.
